On Saturday, October 17, The HAT and a group of the Syrian democratic forces (SDF), backed by the international coalition, carried out a special security operation near Jedid Akidat town in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, according to a source of Deir Ezzor 24.
The source said that the operation resulted in the arrest of three persons, believed to belong to one of the cells working for Assad regime under the name of Daesh.
The source confirmed that there are indicators that these persons were planning to launch future attacks on the international coalition forces and the SDF east of the Euphrates.
This operation took place one day after a similar one carried out by the international coalition and the SDF northern Deir Ezzor, in complement to the operations aiming at eliminating Daesh, Assad regime and Iran cells, and establishing security and stability in the region.
