Over the last month, Al-Bukamal city, which is located in the last section of the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, has witnessed the displacement of a large number of newly returned families, according to D24 network correspondent.
And over the past few weeks, more than 50 families have left Al-Bukamal city to Deir Ezzor city centre and Damascus province.
Our correspondent noted that the civilians have left Al-Bukamal to other areas for many reasons after the Assad regime persuaded them to return to it, at the first of these reasons is the lack of services in Al-Bukamal, where the city’s water lines and electricity networks have not been rehabilitated until now, and the rubble have accumulated in the residential neighbourhoods as the militias prevented the civilians from removing them, in addition to the deteriorating security situation as the city is controlled by different militias who have imposed different laws on the civilians, with no job opportunities for civilians amid the high prices and difficulty in covering monthly and daily expenses, all these reasons forced these families to leave Al-Bukamal city and search for more livable areas.
It is noteworthy that Al-Bukamal city is inhabited by more than 15,000 civilians, most of them live in Tuwayba neighbourhood, in addition to the militia elements located in the city.
