The child, Tim Al-Abdullah (7 years old), returned home from one of the schools in the Al-Joura neighborhood of Deir Ezzor city with a swollen face, after being beaten by his teacher, according to what the child’s family told DeirEzzor24 Network.
The incident occurred at Aziz Matar Al-Sameer School, where the student’s family told DeirEzzor24 that the teacher had severely beaten the child, resulting in visible swelling on his face, a behavior they described as “a continuation of the abusive methods practiced by the educational system in past decades.
The child’s father questioned the school’s administration regarding its role in protecting students from such violations, and the extent to which teachers uphold their educational and ethical responsibilities toward children. He also called for the teacher involved to be held accountable and for firm measures to be taken to prevent such incidents from recurring.
