The USA Army Central Command has revealed that the US airstrikes against a mosque in the Sussah town targeted Deash fighters and that targeted mosque was, in fact, being used by Daesh as a headquarter.
The statement of the central command comes amidst accusations by human rights organizations that the coalition aircraft are deliberately targeting civilian targets in Daesh-held areas. On the other hand, private sources indicated the among the killed in the airstrikes were Daesh families, all of whom Iraqis.
The coalition targeted the Abu Bakr Siqiq mosque in the Sussah town on Friday 19 October, leading to the death of dozens of Daesh fighters.
