Activists from Deir Ezzor called for protests and sit-ins tomorrow, Wednesday 16-10-2019, against the movements of Assad’s forces and the Iranian and Russian militias towards the eastern Euphrates areas in Deir Ezzor, local sources said.
According to the sources, a state of tension and anger prevailed in Deir Ezzor community in the eastern and western countryside (east of the Euphrates) after the Assad’s forces and their militias have recently entered some areas in Hasaka and Qamishli, which caused a state of fear among the population who completely reject the Assad regime and the Iranian militias.
One of the coordinators of the popular movement told Deir Ezzor 24 network that it was agreed to held protests at several points in Deir Ezzor countryside, namely:
1- Al-Hissan village – Western Deir Ezzor countryside.
2- Al-Jided town – Eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
3- Ash-Shahil town – Eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
4- Al-Shaitat area – Eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
These calls followed military moves by the Assad’s forces and the Iranian and Russian militias towards the eastern Euphrates areas in Deir Ezzor, although the international coalition has intensified its bombardment of these militias recently in a clear message that they are not allowed to move towards the eastern Euphrates.
