On Wednesday, January 31, 2021, the Deir Ezzor Civil Council said the Autonomous Administration will reopen al-Salhiyah crossing between the banks of the Euphrates. The crossing links the SDF-controlled areas with those controlled by the Assad regime in Deir Ezzor.

The Autonomous Administration attributed reopening the crossing to humanitarian reasons and to facilitate people’s moving.

The administration added that they will open the crossing on Saturday, January 16 until Monday, January 19, 2021 between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00.p.m.
