Today, Wednesday 8-4-2020, the Health Authority of the Autonomous Administration in northeastern Syria issued a statement, in which it said that Assad regime bears full responsibility if Coronavirus was transmitted to the areas of the autonomous administration.
According to the statement issued by the Health Authority, the administration has taken all the necessary preventive measures against Coronavirus, but the recklessness of Assad regime will lead to disastrous consequences, and the virus will spread in all areas of Syria.
At the end of the statement, the Health Authority said that Assad regime bears full responsibility for any future cases in its areas:
“The Syrian regime authorities is responsible for any case of coronavirus in our region due to their recklessness by violating the preventive measures and sending passengers to our areas.”
It is worth mentioning that many illegal crossings between the eastern and western Euphrates areas of Deir Ezzor are still open, which threatens the eastern Euphrates region by the spectre of Coronavirus, coming from Assad forces controlled areas west of the Euphrates.
