Assad airstrikes and artillery shelling continue to harvest the lives of more civilians in Deir Ezzor province. Yesterday, several civilians were massacred in the Jardi town in eastern Deir Ezzor and in the Hassrat village, where a gathering of civilians at the river crossing in the town was targeted by airstrikes.
A D24 correspondent indicated that Assad’s forces targeted the Jardi town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor using rockets and heavy artillery, leading to the death of five civilians, including three women and a child.’
He added, ‘The Shelling targeted the houses of the civilians Khadr Al Maridi and Eid Al Madhour, resulting in their destruction.’
The Assad aircraft hit the river crossing in the Hassrat village east of Deir Ezzor, killing eight civilians. The death toll from this massacre might increase due to the huge number of the wounded and those who have gone missing.
