Landline services are now cut off in most neighbourhoods of Deir Ezzour city after Assad’s forces and allied militias looted the copper cables of communication.

‘The looting of copper cables has become a widespread activity among Assad’s forces that they are racing to loot as many quantities they can in order to sell them to some merchants who transport them outside the province.’ A D24 correspondent indicated.

‘ Landline services are now unavailable in Al-Joura, Al-Qusour and Al-Muwadafine because of the looting of the copper cable linking between the intelligence branch checkpoint and the Panorama area and which stretches over a distance of 7 km.’ He added.
