On Wednesday, August 19, all militias and Assad forces in Al-Mayadeen city were on high alert, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
Our correspondent added that the alert was raised during the funeral of the national defense (NDF) militia’s members, who were killed in al-Mayadeen badiyah on Tuesday by explosive devices and mines while they were combing the area.
Intensive patrols were sent to the badiyah to prevent any attacks that might occur during the presence of regime and militias leaders, who came to attend the funeral of the NDF commander.
The alert continues in the city as leaders and officials of Assad’s forces and supporting militias are still coming to Al-Mayadeen to express their condolences.
