DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
Recently, the phenomenon of wanted persons fleeing from SDF-controlled areas in Deir Ezzor to areas under the control of the Assad regime has increased, according to DeirEzzor24 network correspondents.
The charges that push the fugitives to the areas of the Assad regime range from killing for clan reasons, moral misdemeanors, job embezzlement, and other charges.
The fugitive firstly resorts to reconciliation, and then the security branches in charge of the reconciliation, which is headed by the two branches of Military Security and State Security.
The fugitives resort to the Assad regime-controlled areas after committing the crime, or after their case is revealed, due to the difficulty of pursuing them and reaching them, as these areas provide them with a safe environment and military cover by granting them settlement cards and affiliation with the allied militias.
In some cases, the fugitive must pay sums of money to military or political officials, to cover up his presence in those areas, if the crime was small.
The areas under the control of the Assad regime are teeming with criminals and wanted persons from areas outside its control, due to the military nature that dominates those areas of its control, and the lax enforcement of laws accordingly.
