Assad regime arrests one of its supporters in Deir Ezzor on charges of corruption

Today, a patrol of the Criminal Security arrested Badr al-Jarallah, the head of Khsham town council, and took him to Deir Ezzor city to investigate him, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.

Our correspondent said al-Jarallah was arrested due to reports of submitting contracts of fraudulent projects in the council, which included a road paving project in the town and renting of vehicles to serve the town.

Al-Jarallah is known for being loyal and supporter of Assad regime. He used his connections to reach his current position.
