DeirEzzor24 exclusive report

The markets in the Mayadeen city has witnessed an increase in the price of sugar, reaching 4 thousand SYP.

The scarcity of sugar is the result of the siege which is being imposed by the Fourth Division checkpoints on sugar trucks, which they prevent from entering the city unless they pay 20 % of the value of sugar as a tax or fee.

Sugar is now being smuggler but the smuggled amounts still remain unsufficient to meet the civilians needs. This is a new crisis added to the other crisis which the locals are going through in the province.
