Assad’s forces sent groups of militants belonging to the National Defense Militia to the areas east of the Euphrates of Deir Ezzor to participate in the fight against the SDF, according to a local reporter of the DeirEzzor24 network.
According to the sources, these groups crossed from the area near the Al-Bukamal-Baghouz bridge in order to participate in the ongoing fighting against the SDF.
The sources said that the groups belong to the National Defense Militia, the Asud Sharqiya militia, and tribal volunteers. They are deployed through a river crossing near Al-Bukamal Bridge that was recently closed, as well as another crossing point from the direction of the village of Al-Sukkariyah in the Hawija region, which is called “Hawijat Al-Mashaha”, located in the middle of the Euphrates River opposite the village of Al-Sukkariyah in the Al-Bukamal countryside, in addition to another point located near the city of Al-Ashara and the city of Subikhan, east of Deir Ezzor.
Video clips circuclated on social media in the past few days showing the participation of members of the Asud Sharqiya militia in the battles that broke out between the SDF and gunmen, some of whom were tribal fighters and others from Assad’s militia, in the town of Abu Hardoub, east of Deir Ezzor.
