A group of young people from Al-Bassirah city attacked the city’s hospital this afternoon, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
The correspondent noted that the young people attacked the hospital after they asked the administrator for jobs in the hospital, and threatened him that if he did not close the hospital immediately, they would target the hospital with weapons, which led the administrator to evacuate it from the patients and send the employees and the medical staff to their homes for their own safety.
Our correspondent noted that five newborns were in the incubators during the attack and were discharged from hospital after the administrator received the threats from the young men.
He also confirmed that a military group of the SDF surrounded the hospital and imposed a security cordon around it in case of any possible threat.
It is indicated that the hospital has been closed since this afternoon, while the SDF patrols are pursuing the youths to catch them and take the appropriate action.
