The Iranian-backed militias mobilized, east of the city of Deir Ezzor, after an attempt to target an Iranian leader, “Hajj,” last night, near the development headquarters in the Harabesh neighborhood, east of the city of Deir Ezzor, according to what a DeirEzzor24 network correspondent reported.
Our correspondent said that the assassination attempt was carried out around ten o’clock at night by two young men riding a motorcycle, targeting the Iranian leader’s car with a gun while it was parked.
He added that the attack failed and the two attackers fled after the shooting.
It is noteworthy that Alawite security immediately deployed in the area, and deployed barriers at the entrances to the neighborhood, amid accusations that the National Defense Militia was involved in the operation.
