An American soldier of the international coalition was killed the day before yesterday, Friday 24-1-2020, in Deir Ezzor province, the US Defense Department said.
According to a release by the department, A 22-year-old soldier “Antonio Moore” died in a traffic accident in Deir Ezzor province in eastern Syria, while the coalition was conducting a patrol in the region.
According to the CNN, the fighter is a member of the 363rd Engineering Battalion, which belongs to the 411st Engineers Brigade. The preliminary investigations indicate that he died during a rollover accident, and the incident is still under investigation.
It is indicated that U.S. has several bases in Deir Ezzor since 2017, following Daesh’s withdrawal from the province.
