DeirEzzor24 exclusvie report:
DeirEzzor24 network correspondent said that
Al-Qaterji militia checkpoint located on the main road in the city of Mohassan, east of Deir Ezzor, has recently begun arresting diesel smugglers via motorcycles.
Our correspondent added that the militia has allocated a special tank at the checkpoint to empty the smuggled quantities of diesel, and refers those arrested on charges of smuggling to the Military Security Branch.
Most of those working in the diesel trade via motorcycles are militia members from Deir Ezzor Governorate, who trade in diesel by buying it from the river oil smuggling crossings in the town of Al Buleel and selling it to the owners of small stalls and shops.
Smugglers buy a liter of diesel fuel from the smuggling site in the town of Buleel, east of Deir Ezzor, at a price of 1,750 Syrian pounds, and it is sold in stalls at a price of approximately 2,100 pounds.
