Al-Affis monopolizes smuggling in Deir Ezzor under Assad militias’ cover

Shabiha affiliated with the so-called “Fadi Al-Affis” seized 40 sheep, while trying to enter them at night from the town of “Al-Ji’ah”controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces ( SDF) towards the town of Al-Hussainiya,controlled by the Assad forces.

These practices and abuses contribute to Al-Affis’ control and monopoly on commercial smuggling operations in the area under the cover of Military Intelligence.

Smuggling of livestock falls under the smuggling carried out by “Al-Affis”, in addition to grain and fodder hay, while the most profitable step is “people smuggling”, which includes smuggling people wanted by the Assad regime.

“Al-Affis” is one of Iran’s agents in Deir Ezzor, where the Iranian militias rely on him to buy real estate, land and property for Iran, in addition to his activity in recruiting young men for the Iranian militias, and attracting them to volunteer by luring them with money and privileges.
