DeirEzzor24 correspondent said that food prices in the city of Al-Bukamal, east of Deir Ezzor, have risen significantly in the past days.
Our correspondent said that the reason for the rise was due to royalties and sums of money imposed by the Fourth Division’s checkpoints on shipments of goods and materials entering Albukamal.
He added, the price of 1 kilogram of medium-type rice reached 5,500 Syrian pounds, and the price of one kilogram of Kabsa rice reached 9000 Syrian pounds, while the price of one kilogram of sugar reached 5,500 Syrian pounds, and a kilogram of medium-type tea reached 35,000 thousand Syrian pounds.
It is noteworthy that, in addition to the fees and royalties of the Fourth Division, the high cost of fuel has led to a significant increase in food prices in Al-Bukamal.
