According to a reporter of DeirEzzor24 Network, the Media Directorate in Deir Ezzor province organized a dialogue meeting yesterday, Thursday, bringing together journalists and media activists to discuss the reality of local media and prospects for its development.
Our reporter said that the meeting provided an opportunity to open a discussion about the nature of the directorate’s work and the mechanism for its cooperation with media institutions on social media platforms. The meeting also emphasized the importance of partnerships between official and free media in conveying a true picture of the Deir Ezzor street.
The attendees discussed the most prominent challenges facing journalists in the field, particularly those related to weak coordination and the haphazard transmission of information. The directorate’s officials agreed upon the meeting on the need to overcome these obstacles and develop a clear cooperation plan that contributes to building a professional media environment that serves the governorate’s issues and sheds light on the concerns of its residents.
For his part, journalist Abdul Rahman Al-Ali explained in a statement to DeirEzzor24 Network that this meeting came at a critical time for the governorate, calling for the combined efforts of all media professionals and relevant parties to achieve a qualitative shift in media performance. He added that the meeting addressed many of the challenges facing journalists, and an agreement was reached to work towards resolving them in the coming period.
This meeting is viewed as a first step towards creating a more effective media environment in Deir Ezzor , amid hopes that joint cooperation will translate into tangible results that will enhance the role of the media in conveying reality and keeping pace with developments
