A Daesh-operated reconnaissance drone flew above the besieged neighborhoods of Al-Joura, Al-Qusour and Al-Muwadafin today. It also flew above the frontlines with Assad’s forces, including the fronts in the city, the Deir Ezzor Military Airport, Al-Jafra, the Thurdah Mountain and the Panorama highway.
A D24 correspondent based in Deir Ezzor city indicated that the drone activity lasted for three hours and it was unsuccessfully targeted with medium and light machine guns by Assad’s forces.
This coincided with the landing of three bombs on the Joura neighborhood, with no reports about the identity of the used weapons, meaning that the drone could have fired it.
Several reconnaissance drones belonging to the organization have flown above the Joura, Al-Qusour and Al-Muwadafine neighborhoods over the past few days, during which they fired shells that landed near the Joura and the Jaz Oven, as well as the Wadi Street, claiming the lives of a number of civilians and wounding some others. The drones have not targeted any gathering of Assad’s forces and security branch centers inside the besieged neighborhoods.
