DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
Disputes arose between customs and the Fourth Division, on the one hand, and the National Defense Militia, on the other hand, in the city of Al-Bukamal, east of Deir Ezzor, according to a DeirEzzor24 network reporter.
According to the reporter, each party is trying to seize control of smuggling because of the abundant money it generates, especially since the National Defense Militia is the one that has taken over the smuggling operations recently, and has all the tobacco “smoke” smugglers from Iraq, who in turn refuse to deal with it. With the Fourth Division and Customs.
The National Defense Militia has hidden warehouses within the city of Al-Bukamal, and is considered the main supplier of smuggled tobacco in Deir Ezzor and the rest of the provinces. Most of the profits go to Firas Al-Iraqiya, the leader of the militia, and part of it to the defense commander in the Al-Bukamal sector, “Issam Al-Fadil.”
