Land smuggling routes are currently suspended in western Deir Ezzor due to theft

Assad’s forces have suspended the livestock smuggling routes (sheep, cows, and goats) from Al-Husseiniyah-Al-Jia’a road, which connects Assad regime-controlled areas with the SDF’s in western Deir Ezzor, according to a DeirEzzor24 network reporter.

He added that they suspended them after the discovery of the theft of sheep from the town of Hatla and an attempt to smuggle them through the town of Al-Husseiniyah towards the SDF-controlled areas.

The theft was carried out with the participation of parties involved in smuggling in the region and linked to Assad’s forces and their affiliated militias.
