DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
DeirEzzor24 Network has observed an increase in demand at the Immigration and Passports Office in the city for obtaining passports.
According to our reporter, the cost of a single passport reaches approximately 3 million Syrian pounds for those in urgent need, and it takes about a week to issue it. Most of the applicants are families, including women and children, who have qualified for family reunification in European countries. They come to complete the travel document procedures, including translation and approval by the Assad regime’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and to schedule appointments at the embassies of Western countries in Beirut and Tehran.
The areas of Deir Ezzor under the control of the Assad regime are witnessing a significant migration of residents due to deteriorating economic conditions and security instability in those areas.
