DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
DeirEzzor24 Network has learned, from private sources, that some workers in international organizations have resorted to legal tricks to take advantage of the financial grants offered by their organizations in Deir Ezzor.
The sources said that those workers in charge of working in the “FAO” organization, for example , delay the delivery of the financial grant for agricultural fertilizer allowance, to benefit from the exchange difference in the face of the continued collapse of the Syrian pound, which is worth $65 for each beneficiary, while the delivery has been fixed since the beginning of the year at an amount of 245 thousand pounds, and thus the difference of about 100 thousand pounds goes to those in charge of the work.
The low exchange rate of the Syrian pound against the dollar is a factor that most organizations operating in areas controlled by the Assad regime in Deir Ezzor resort to, as they receive grants in dollars and deliver them in Syrian pounds.
