A joint campaign by al-Assad forces and other militias was launched today, from the city of Deir Ezzor towards the Al-Bukamal desert, east of the province, according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 network.
Our correspondent said that the campaign included Russian forces, a group of the Al-Quds Brigade militia, a group of the Republican Guard and the 17th Division, a group of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards militia and a group of Hezbollah militia, whose mission is to comb the desert extending from the city of Al-Bukamal towards the city of Mayadeen in the east of Deir Ezzor.
This campaign comes after an escalation by Daesh in its attacks against Assad’s forces and Iranian and Russian militias in the Deir Ezzor desert.
