The article’s picture is expressive
Today, Deir Ezzor City Council issued a new circular, a copy of which was obtained by DeirEzzor24 network, which includes a ban on eating leafy vegetables irrigated from the Euphrates River in shops, hotels and restaurants.
The types of leafy vegetables prohibited within the decision included (parsley, lettuce, watercress and halana…) until further notice, at the risk of being closed with red wax for those who do not adhere to it.
The decision comes with the increase in cholera cases in Deir Ezzor to 119 cases and two deaths, and the suspected transmission of the virus that causes it by eating these vegetables.
