The article’s picture is expressive
The temperature has highly increased in Deir Ezzor province, reaching 45 degrees Celsius, topping the list of Syrian provinces with temperatures.
In light of this increase in temperature, the region is witnessing a great demand by the people to buy ice bricks, which formed a huge crowding of the ice-making factories, in addition to the high prices of it, exceeding 5,000 Syrian pounds per one brick.
The severe heat wave also left dozens of sunstroke injuries, accompanied by fainting and vomiting in some cases.
It should be noted that the intense heat wave sweeping the region comes with an almost complete absence of electricity from all areas of Deir Ezzor, especially those under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces.
