Yesterday evening, a number of large trucks carrying sheep and cows entered Iraq from the Popular Mobilization Militia crossing in Al-Bukamal in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, according to the correspondent of the DeirEzzor24 network.
Our correspondent said that this cargo belongs to local merchants who deal with the Popular Mobilization Militia, who buy livestock from the SDF-controlled areas of Deir Ezzor, and are smuggled to the Assad regime-controlled areas and from there to Iraq.
The trade and smuggling of livestock from Syria to Iraq has flourished significantly recently, due to the low prices of livestock in Syria in general and Deir Ezzor in particular.
