Everyone expected that Daesh fighters would carry out organized attacks and strong raids in conjunction with the recent Gweran prison events and the SDF control of the situation and the restoration of security inside the prison, as Daesh elements received instructions from their commanders to escalate attacks, but the matter did not go beyond small raids with light weapons.

This coincided with the organization’s attack on several checkpoints in areas in the villages of Al-Hariji and Al-Jasmi in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor and Al-Sawa village in western Deir Ezzor, in addition to the Dhiban and Al-Shuhail stations, as well as targeting the headquarters of SDF in Al-Busairah, which yielded little results, while SDF forces mobilized and imposed a night curfew for a week as a means to counter Daesh movements
The attacks show that the organization is trying to collect its remains and revive its cells again, in attempts that have not been feasible until now.
