The Air Force Checkpoint, adjacent to the military airport in Deir Ezzor, the town of Al-Jufra, and the entrance to the city’s main neighborhoods from the eastern side, stopped searching cars and people passing through their checkpoint and refrained from taking any amount of money from any car under the direction of the Security Committee for reasons related to the alleged settlement operations carried out by Assad’s forces.
These events come while the military security checkpoint near Al-Jawiya is still searching and charging pedestrians, cars and trucks that transport goods.
The Air Force checkpoint is supervised by a volunteer military called “Abu Ljin” who displaces civilians, in addition to seizing 500 SYP for each identity that he searches.
