Daesh intensified its attacks on Assad militia positions in the desert in the west of the Euphrates River, as its attacks extended from the Raqqa desert to the Al-Bukamal desert, targeting Russian and Iranian militia points in Al-Bishri, which resulted in deaths and injuries among the militias.
In this context, Daesh fighters also attacked positions along the international road in Al-Bukamal and Al-Mayadin, which pushed the Iranian Revolutionary Guards militia to call in reinforcements.
Recently, 14 people were killed and about 30 were wounded as a result of two separate attacks carried out by Daesh members, targeting the Asud Sharqiah militia in the Al-Masrab desert and the salt mine in the western Deir Ezzor countryside, while they set up ambushes in Fakkah, which caused the death of the leader of the Asud Al Sharqiya militia, Abdul Sattar Al-Shaiti.
