On Thursday, November 26, 2020, an Intercooler cotton truck flipped in the al-Omal neighborhood in the city of Deir Ezzor.
The truck flipped after an Assad forces’ patrol chased it because its driver wanted to sell the cotton in the black market, especially as the Assad regime prevents farmers and traders from selling cotton, except to the regime.
The driver sustained minor injury and was transported to the Assad Hospital in Deir Ezzor.
The Assad regime monopolizes cotton trading in Deir Ezzor and does not allow traders to buy cotton, or farmers to sell cotton, except to the regime.
