The phenomenon of stealing livestock from farms and homes has spread recently in al-Mayadeen city and the surrounding villages.
According to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent, the main reason for the recent spread of this phenomenon in al-Mayadeen and its surroundings is the deep darkness at night due to the continuous power outage in the area, and the inability of people to operate generators because of the high fuel prices, which constitutes a conducive environment to the spread of livestock-rustling by thieves, who sell them in remote areas.
Our correspondent said that a number of al-Mayadeen residents, out of fear, are secretly pointing fingers at a group of the national defence militia (NDF) led by a person named “Abu Aziz” as he had involved in such acts in the past.
This new phenomenon is added to a series of violations and abuses the Assad’s forces and supporting militias are practicing against the people of Deir Ezzor.
