Russian planes launched today a violent series of airstrikes against more than ten targets in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, including Mahmida town, leaving dozens of civilians dead and critically injuring tens of others.
Russian planes struck civilian targets in Muhmida town, including shops near the pharmacy of Al-Ashawi in the town, claiming the lives of tens of civilians. Al-Kharita, Al-Zaer, and Shamtiya towns in rural Deir Ezzor also witnessed Russian areal bombardments during which two women and a child from the same family were martyred, DeirEzzor 24 correspondent in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor said.
Another woman along with her little child fell victims to Russian airstrikes on the town of al Shaheel in rural Deir Ezzor today.
Several air raids were conducted by Russian planes against several targets in Deir Ezzor province, including Myadin city in eastern rural Deir Ezzor, Huwayja Sakr and Huwayqa in Deir Ezzor city, in addition to the vicinity of the military airport.
It should be noted that Russian airstrikes have been bombarding civilian targets in Deir Ezzor province for more than a week now, causing massive civilian casualties and ravaging civilian homes and even mosques, following ISIS advances in the western countryside.
