The annual report on Deir Ezzor’s victims toll in 2018 and the parties who are responsible for their deaths .. prepared by Deir Ezzor 24 network.
Throughout the last year, Deir Ezzor 24 network documented the names of hundreds of people from Deir Ezzor who had lost their lives at the hands of different parties in conflict in Syria and Deir Ezzor in particular.
For many of those who follow the Syrian scene, Deir Ezzor’s martyrs are just numbers that increase or decrease each year, while infact they are real lives and souls, families and communal ties, generations torn apart every time a new martyr ascends.
The various parties to the conflict in Deir Ezzor took turns killing the people of the province, according to the different geographical points in which the killings took place.
In which the Assad’s forces killed seventy-nine people, including nine children, seven women, and fourteen victims under torture.
And the Russian forces in Syria killed ten people from Deir Ezzor including six children and one woman.
Whereas Daesh’s share of people’s lives in Deir Ezzor was abundant, killing two hundred and thirty-five people including thirty two children and thirteen women.
And the SDF killed seventy-one people from Deir Ezzor, including fourteen children, seven women and two victims under torture.
While Al-Assad’s share of people’s lives in Deir Ezzor was mostly at the hand of the International Coalition forces, as the killing machine of the Coalition claimed the lives of three hundred and five people, including ninety children and forty-eight women.
Turkish border guards killed nine people from Deir Ezzor while they were attempting to enter the Turkish territory through border smuggling points.
One hundred and fifty-four people from Deir Ezzor were killed by unidentified perpetrators, including thirty children, nineteen women, and seven victims under torture.
Eight hundred and seventy-four martyrs from Deir Ezzor ascended during 2018, the methods by which they were killed varied, from different types of missiles used by the Coalition in bombing of residential areas, to Daesh’s knife, which considered the lives of people in Deir Ezzor as sacrifices to build the throne of their alleged state, and to the brutality of the Assad’s forces and the Iranian and Russian militias, and last but not the least the indiscriminate killing by the SDF and the insecurity in the areas controlled by them in Deir Ezzor which resulted in the deaths of hundreds of people.
Eighty hundred and seventy-four martyrs are taken by the channels and the newspapers as passing numbers, but they are in fact human beings belonging to families, society and civilization, which many forces are working to obliterate them by eliminating their people.
