In the series of repeated tragic incidents in the areas controlled by Assad’s forces in Deir Ezzor, the child (Ritaj al-Haitham) received severe injuries and fractures today, Saturday, May 9, 2020, when a wall of a collapsing house fell on her in al-Jbaila neighborhood while she was playing in front of her house.
The child was immediately taken to hospital, and after she was subjected to medical tests, the x-rays showed that she had three fractures in her skull, so was taken to the intensive care unit due to her serious condition.
The neighborhoods of Deir Ezzor have witnessed several such incidents during the previous period, most recently in “Cinema Fu’ad” Street, when a multi-storey building fell down while some workers were working inside, which led to the killing of two of them and the injuring of the others.
Assad regime bears the greatest responsibility for these incidents, and the resulting civilian deaths in Deir Ezzor, where its officials deliberately pay no attention to the safety of citizens, and all they are concerned about is just to repeatedly call on people to return home to legitimize Assad regime in the region, while the collapsing infrastructure, homes and buildings still pose direct threats to civilians in several neighborhoods of the city, that have seen many battles during the past period, which has led to their partial or total destruction, but Assad regime forgets all about that when it calls on civilians to return.
