A source told Deir Ezzor 24 network that the coalition and special forces of the SDF arrested “Mohammed Najah al-Ismail”, a leader of Daesh known as “Abu Maher”.
According to the source, Al-Ismail was the public relations officer in the organization and was arrested during the recent campaign conducted by the international coalition (Deterrence of Terrorism), which is being carried out in the badiyahs of Deir Ezzor, Hasakeh and some parts of Iraq in recent days.
The source added that the international coalition has found huge tunnels dug by Daesh in the badiyah, some of which are so big that large vehicles can go through them.
He confirmed that dozens of Daesh operatives have been arrested during the large-scale security operation carried out by the international coalition in the badiyahs of the northern and eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
It is indicated that the international Coalition has launched a large-scale security operation in Syria and Iraq under the name “Deterrence of Terrorism” to pursue the remnants of Daesh, that has increased its criminal operations in the eastern Euphrates areas.
