The province of Deir Ezzor witnessed a bloody day last night in which several massacres were carried out in the city of Al-Bukamal and the Husseiniyah town by both, Iraq and coalition aircraft.
The first massacre was perpetrated in Al-Bukamal near Iraq-Syria border after aircraft bombed a residential complex located near the Missriyah roundabout in the center of the city, causing around 18 civilian casualties, most of whom were displaced children and women from Iraq.
D24 correspondent in the city stated that “The airstrikes were executed by aircraft belonging to the Iraqi government. They were not only limited to Al-Bukamal, but also the Sukariyah area on the outskirts of the city and the Ahmar Oil Station.”
He added, “ The aircraft also bombed a four-wheel drive vehicle belonging to Daesh on the highway linking Al-Bukamal with the Hari village, killing four Daesh fighters.”
In the western countryside, the coalition aircraft carried out a massacre that claimed the lives of 7 civilians after targeting the Faculty of Agriculture building in the Husseiniyah village in west of Deir Ezzor. The Faculty of Agriculture had been a Daesh headquarter before the organization sold it to a local merchant who moved with his family to reside in it.”
In other news, aircraft carried out airstrikes on the Muhassan city in the eastern countryside, wounding several civilians.
