On Thursday, January 05, electricity and water supplies continued to be cut off after International Coalition struck the Omar oil field east of Deir Ezzor city on Wednesday.
A D24 correspondent said today that, “ Since Wednesday, water and electricity supplies have been cut off in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor due to the Coalition airstrikes against the Omar oil field, which is the main supplier of electricity in the area.”
The airstrikes destroyed six pumps and cranes of oil, as well as a truck and an oil tanker.
The Coalition continue to target the oil fields in the province of Deir Ezzor, including the most important ones: the Omar, the Tim and the Koniko oil fields.
