Within the framework of joint coordination between the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor in Deir Ezzor and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), voluntary return convoys were conducted from Al-Arisha camp in Hasakah countryside to areas of Deir-Ezzor Governorate.
The operation included five trips that brought back 280 families, including 981 people, using 91 luggage trucks, in addition to other means of transportation designated to transport the returnees.
This step comes amid the difficult humanitarian conditions inside the camp, where UNHCR and its partners confirm continued efforts to ensure that returning back is done voluntarily, in an organized and dignified manner, and in a manner that preserves the safety and stability of returning families.
