The American Treasury Department sanctioned the Assad regime’ figures, companies, and militias, and those who cooperated with the regime after imposing the Caesar Act.
The new sanctions included 19 Syrian, Arab, and Chinese figures, companies, and institutions. The sanctions even included members of the Assad regime’ People’s Council.
Among the most prominent sanctioned parties are the National Defense (ND)’ militia that is an Assad forces’ partner and supporter in hostilities against Syrians, and the al-Qatirji Company which is the Assad regime’s economic arm. The company operates on economic and military levels, and is one of the most prominent entities operating in smuggling for the regime’s benefit. The company smuggled oil and cereals from the Syrian Democratic Forces-controlled Northeastern Syria.

Naser al-Ali, Husam Rushdi al-Qatirji, the Chinese Zhonghua Company, Kamal Imad al-Deen al-Madani, Tarek Imad al-Deen al-Madani, Ghassan Jawdat Ismael, Amer Tayseer Khayti, the Chinese LAU, Edwina Company, the Chinese LI, Kwai-wa Company, the Chinese LI, Kwai-wa, Saqer Rustum, Nabeel Muhammad Ta’meh, the al-Rusafah Refinery Company, the Arvada Oil Shareholding Company, the Coast Refinery Company, the Khayti Holding Company, the Military Constructions Institution, ND militia, Productive Projects Administration, General Institution of Oil Refining and Distributing Oil Products, the Salizar Shipping Company, the Oil and Mineral Resources Ministry, and the International Ta’meh Group.
These sanctions contribute to the implementation of the Caesar Act that the US Administration imposed on the Assad regime and those who cooperate with it such as countries, institutions, companies, or even people..
