DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
A DeirEzzor24 network reporter said that commercial truck drivers come and refuse to bring their trucks into the Legend Square in the village of Al-Hari, east of Deir Ezzor on the Syrian-Iraqi border.
Our reporter added that their refusal came due to the successive air strikes that targeted Iranian militias during the past days.
He pointed out that drivers fear that the area will be targeted again, in addition to their fear that Iranian militias will send weapons shipments into their cars against their will, which exposes them to the risk of being targeted.
About two years ago, Iranian militias opened Legend Square with the aim of gathering cars and trucks that work for them to transport goods and contraband through the illegal railway crossing.
During the recent period, the Al-Bukamal border crossing with Iraq witnessed the exclusion of members of Assad’s forces from it and their replacement with members of the Lebanese Hezbollah militia, where the members began to wear the uniform of Assad’s forces and were deployed along the crossing.
