The Shiites of Hatlah town have informed the people of the town that the name of the “Abu Bakr al-Siddiq” mosque will be changed into the “Zainab al-Kubrah” mosque, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.

The correspondent added that big families in Hatlah town refused to change the name of the mosque, which in turn has caused tension between them and the town’s Shiites.

The correspondent noted that (Abu Bakr al-Siddiq) mosque in Hatlah had previously been desecrated when a well-known Shiite kicked the mosque’s sign because it bears the name of the sahabi.

It is indicated that the tension is still prevailing the town due to the disagreement over the changing of the mosque’s name.
