The new maternity hospital in the city of Albukamal in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor continues to provide free health services to women and children, after it was established by the Deir Ezzor Health Directorate with the support of Doctors Without Borders ( MSF) , with the aim of providing specialized health care within the region and reducing the burden of travel and costs for the residents.

The hospital provides free obstetric and surgical services, in addition to a dedicated department for mental illnesses, as well as providing meals to patients and providing 24-hour medical care and follow-up.

The hospital includes specialist doctors and medical and nursing staff, in addition to the medical equipment and services necessary to provide care to patients within an integrated health environment.

The hospital constitutes an important service addition for the people of the city of Albukamal and its countryside, especially in light of the need for obstetric services and specialized health care, which contributes to alleviating the trouble of traveling to the governorate center to obtain these services.
