For several days, the shops and markets of the city of Al-Bukamal, east of Deir Ezzor, have witnessed the loss of many foodstuffs, according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 network.
Our correspondent said that the reason behind the severe food shortage in the city of Al-Bukamal is due to the 4th Division’s checkpoints in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor preventing trucks loaded with foodstuffs and goods from crossing to Al-Bukamal, 5 days ago, on the pretext that there is new pricing for the fees imposed by the division’s command in line with the dollar exchange rate, which has not been released.
This shortage of foodstuffs in the markets of the city of Al-Bukamal led to a significant increase in the prices of the materials available in the markets, amid the inability of a large number of families to purchase.
