Water and sanitation companies in a number of Syrian governorates have begun sending tankers and vehicles dedicated to transporting drinking water to Deir Ezzor governorate, in support of the efforts made to support the residents in light of the emergency conditions resulting from the rise in the level of the Euphrates River.
This step comes as part of the service support campaign implemented by the Ministry of Energy and its affiliated entities, with the aim of securing alternative sources of drinking water and reducing service burdens in areas affected by floods.
The companies sending the machinery confirmed that the support operations are being carried out in coordination between the governorates to enhance the ability of the Water Corporation in Deir Ezzor to meet urgent needs and ensure the continued provision of basic services to the population.
Water companies in the governorates continue to send additional batches of machinery as needed, in support of the governorate’s efforts to secure drinking water and ensure continuity of service during the current time.
