Local sources told Deir Ezzor 24 that on Friday’s evening, March 5, 2021, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) stormed the General Surgery Hospital in the town of Ash-Shahil, eastern Deir Ezzor. The SDF beat the medical and technical staff members and arrested some of them.
The sources added that the SDF destroyed medical devices at the hospital and opened fire at the hospital front.
The sources said that the hospital stopped working due to the SDF’ assault. SDF fighters burnt a vehicle for the hospital, and a nearby house.
The SDF stormed the hospital after Daesh suspects attacked an SDF outpost in Ash-Shahil.
