The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and International Coalition conducted a security campaign against Daesh, eastern Deir Ezzor. Sources told Deir Ezzor 24 Network that the campaign disrupted markets in Ash-Shahil, al-Bussairah, and al-Hawayej, eastern Deir Ezzor.
According to local sources, a state of anger is prevailing the areas of Deir Ezzor, east of the Euphrates, after a number of civilians were arrested during the campaign started by the SDF two days ago, which has affected the life movement in these areas.
The sources told Deir Ezzor 24 network that women are buying groceries for their families instead of men as they fear arrest due to the heavy security presence of the SDF patrols in the areas.
The SDF and the international coalition have launched a large-scale military campaign against Daesh cells on Friday, July 17, 2020, during which they conducted raids and arrests against dozens of people, including civilians in several villages, towns and cities of Deir Ezzor.
